About Me: Please Listen — Personal Profile Cards for Families
Help the people supporting your loved one see the person behind the paperwork.
Explaining the same needs, preferences, and interests to every new teacher, therapist, or caregiver can feel overwhelming. About Me: Please Listen brings those details together in a welcoming, easy-to-follow card that encourages connection and understanding.
The illustrated cover features children gathered in a cozy learning space, framed by calming colours and botanical details. Inside, simple prompts and writing spaces help you share:
-
How your loved one communicates.
-
Their interests, strengths, and favourite things can feel overwhelming.
-
What can feel overwhelming.
-
The supports and comforts that help.
-
How they show discomfort and how others can respond.
Choose a single card or a pack of 10, 30, or 50 to share with schools, therapists, caregivers, and others in your loved one’s support circle. Complete one master profile, then copy the information onto additional cards or photocopy the completed profile for sharing—so you have a consistent reference without having to redo it each time.
Whenever possible, fill it out together with your loved one, including their words, choices, and preferences. Update the information as their needs and interests change.
Use it when starting school, meeting a new therapist, introducing a caregiver or opening a conversation about support. This card provides a helpful starting point; schools and providers may still require their own forms.
